Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Where can I find more information on Mesa's historic districts?
A: Mesa has seven historic districts. Learn more at http://www.mesaaz.gov/planning/HistoricDistricts.aspx or our annual historic home tour.
Q: Do you have dinosaurs?
A. No, we're a history museum - not a natural history museum. The best place to see dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures is the Arizona Museum of Natural History, also in Mesa, Arizona.
Q: Is the museum wheelchair accessible?
A. Yes. You'll want to enter the main building from the south door. Either your whole party can proceed to the front desk to pay admission, or you can just send one person to take care of things for the group. (The front desk is in between the two wings.)
Q: Do you have wheelchairs available for patrons to use?
A: Sorry, but this is not something we're able to provide at this time. Please bring whatever mobility assistance you might require.
Q: Does the museum have a gift shop?
A: Yes. We carry a variety of items from historic-themed candy and crafts to books and other merchandise to go along with temporary exhibitions. You can also shop some popular items online.
