The Army, The Apache, and Art: Poster Art from The Boeing Company

Poster Art From The Boeing Company

Opened April 1, 2011

In 1975, Boeing's Apache Helicopter prototype made its first flight on Sept. 30, 1975. From its early beginnings in 1986 when the first operational Apache unit, 7th Battalion, 17th Cavalry Brigade, began training on the AH-64A at Fort Hood, the Apache helicopter has played an important role in military aviation. Today, the Apache Helicopter is flown in twelve countries and serves dozens of military units. Each time a military unit begins to fly the Boeing Company creates a one of a kind poster that commemorates the union. We are proud to exhibit to the public for the first time 64 of The Boeing Company's collection of posters.
